Small space, great ideas…

Hello again! Probably my favorite museum on the West coast……the ‘Frisco’ MOMA is an inviting space that is packed in a relatively small location in the heart of San Francisco but packs more punch than many of its competitors put together. I love the open architecture – (don’t take the elevators!) – that ascends via two staircases revealing gallery after gallery of the most wonderful art you’ll ever see.

Below I present two captures that to me speak loads about the building (this is personal, so if you’ve been here and think that a rooftop shot is more representative, go for it) – First is the view from below all the way to that wonderful catwalk, an obligated path if you choose not to take the elevators, just under that massive skylight – the other the simple geometry of one of the staircase landings. I hope you like them, both via Nikon D300 btw.
